Proteomics in Molecular Medicine

Proteomics in Molecular Medicine
Molecular medicine deals with the understanding of biological mechanisms of the disease at the cellular and molecular levels for disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention. It is a study of translation and validation of molecular discoveries in medicine into the clinical setting. Molecular medicine has become increasingly important for understanding the disease biology, selecting and validating targets and it is considered to be the next step in modern biology. Recent advances in proteomics technologies have enormous potential for medical research and clinical practice. This session would discuss various proteomics applications in molecular medicine and drug discovery.
