Plant and Animal Proteomics

Plant and Animal Proteomics
The implementation of proteomics is an important step towards more detailed understanding of the complex biological systems such as plants and animals that control physiology and pathology of these oganisms. Most importantly, understanding the biological traits that impact yield and quality of plant and animal based products is the area of much biological experimentation. Recent progress in the development of integrative multidisciplinary omics based approaches such as proteomics and metabolomics may provide new solutions to the major challenge of food security. The rapid evolution of this technology provides valuable tools and opens up novel ways to test hypotheses that were previously unanswerable. This session will unfold the recent trends and progress in the exciting areas of plant and animal proteomics.
